I am very proud of this exceptional compilation. *Dodge with Friends* reflects the musical and electronic diversity of my label, which I founded in Bochum in 1995 to promote electronic music from the Ruhr region—a region that, with its 19 cities, was once the economic engine of Germany, shaped by the coal and steel industries and a culture of hard work. The new Dodge compilation *Dodge with Friends* features artists who have helped shape the development of music on Dodge and who are my friends—some of whom haven’t been able to release music on Dodge yet because they aren’t from the Ruhr region.
